Westin Jekyll Island Wedding | Shilpa and Andy

We had an amazing time photographing Shilpa and Andy’s Jekyll Island wedding in at the Westin Jekyll Island. Our day started with Shilpa and Andy taking part in a Pithi ceremony where the bride and groom’s friends and family covered them in a tumeric based paste followed by our couple receiving blessings from their guests. Preparations  followed for our couple in a suite at the Westin where our bride, her friends and their dog Petra get dressed for the ceremony.  Shilpa wore a stunning layered lace ballgown with amazing beaded and rhinestone accents from Judd Waddell.

Shilpa and Andy’s wedding ceremony took place amongst the driftwood along Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island. After enjoying the beautiful weather on the beach, guests made their way to cocktails in the courtyard of the Westin before heading into the main ballroom for the reception.  The decor the event was created by Utopian Events in Atlanta and featured beautiful candlelit orchid centerpieces with tables named after the places Shilpa and Andy have traveled to as a couple. Guests    danced and enjoying late night snacks well unto the night.
