We are so excited to share part two of Megan and Sonny’s wedding weekend! You can see some of their Pippin Hill Farm wedding photos that were featured in the latest issue of WeddingWire’s SummerBook. Megan and Sonny’s wedding celebrations actually took place over four days, at four different vineyards, with two ceremonies and receptions (or as Megan states 4 days + 4 vineyards + 2 weddings + 2 cultures combined = 1 amazingly happy couple). We were incredibly honored when we were approached by them to photograph their wedding weekend, especially since our groom is the CMO of WeddingWire and that he had thousands of photographers to choose from.
Megan and Sonny’s second ceremony and reception at the Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyard, a stunning venue located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The jaw-droppingly gorgeous decor at the ceremony space included a wood floor aisle leading to a pair of doors adorned with vine and flowers with the mountain range as their backdrop, a design created by Working Brides Wedding Planning and Blue Ridge Floral Design. Megan wore a stunning wedding gown by WToo by Waters while Sonny rocked a tailored suit complete with a dress shirt embroidered with his twitter handle.
During the cocktail hour, guests had the opportunity to play corn hole with their custom boards or just sit in the rocking chairs and enjoy the amazing view. Guests were then ushered into the Granary where guests found their table assignments, named after some of Megan and Sonny’s favorite wines from around the world. The room was decorated using a mix of long farm tables and round tables accented with touches of blues, yellow and light oranges. One of the main highlights of their reception space was the custom lighting provided by Boston Sound and Light who designed a branchlike pattern on the walls that created a new dynamic element to the room. After another evening of nonstop dancing, Megan and Sonny completed the evening with a beautiful sparkler exit followed by an awesome afterparty in downtown Charlottesville.
