So one fun fact about Scott and I you can see by reading the Hopkins Studios blog is that one of our favorite things to do is travel. Whether is it by car, plane, boat or even hiking, we love to be out and exploring. We are so excited for our upcoming weddings as we are getting the chance to photograph a number of destinations up and down the east coast. When the opportunity came about to head up to New York for our couple’s Manhattan engagement photos, we were more than happy to hop in the car and head up for it. It was also a great chance to us to visit with our family, friends and past brides and grooms who still live in the area.
One of the great things about photographing engagement sessions with our couples is that it really gives us the chance to learn more about our them and it gives them the chance to get used to being in front of the camera. In this case it was such a treat for us to be able to do so in a city that holds a special place in their heart in and ours as well. For Emma and Brendan’s engagement session, we chose to stray away from some of the busier and touristy areas and focus on the capturing the area they love to live in. After an afternoon of exploring the streets around Greenwich Village and TriBeCa, we ended the evening on the rooftop of their building with a spectacular view of the city. We are so excited for their wedding this fall and working with the team from Posh Petals and Pearls! Here is a sneak peek of their Manhattan engagement photos.
