Callawassie Island Wedding | Laura and Ben

Weather in the Lowcountry is always unpredictable. One day we have amazing weather with some amazing light. The next day, we have a tropical storm take a quick left towards the coast and land just at the start of the wedding day. Despite the rain, Laura and Ben had an amazing Callwassie Island wedding here in South Carolina.

Preparations for the bride took place at her grandmother’s home on Callawassie Island followed by Laura and Ben choosing the to have their own private first look before starting their family portraits. Due to the tropical storm, Laura and Ben’s wedding ceremony took place inside the clubhouse as they were surrounded by their family and close friends who had traveled thousands of miles to be there for this day. The guests enjoyed an evening of wonderful food, a game room to play board games, a wonderful band that kept the dance floor packed all night long, and ice cream from Leopold’s rather than the traditional wedding cake. We loved documenting Laura and Ben’s wedding day and loved seeing all of their friends and family share their excitement and love for them. Here is a sneak peek of their Callawassie Island wedding.
