Kerri and Brandon were married on the 19th of October in Savannah, Georgia. To help give you the full vision of their wedding day, I have asked our bride Kerri and her planner Kelly to give their input on the wedding day.

From our bride Kerri- Brandon and I chose Savannah as our wedding destination because it was a neutral location for both of our families. Brandon and his family are from New Orleans, and my family is from Atlanta. We visited Savannah prior to choosing Savannah or Bethesda and fell in love with the city because if its rich culture, unique architecture, and of course those beautiful oaks naturally drapped with Spanish moss. We knew from the moment we laid eyes on Whitefield Chapel at Bethesda, that it was the perfect chapel because it represented the love Brandon and I share for each other. It was simple, yet timeless and beautiful. I knew that by having the outdoor dinner and tented reception on the grounds at Bethesda, we would have free reign to execute our vision for the evening. (with the wonderful help of Kelly Mattox!) We knew that we really wanted an outdoor dinner underneath the magnificent Spanish moss filled oak trees followed by an energetic dance party fueled by the Voltage Brothers. It was everything we envisioned and more, and we could not have been happier with choosing Savannah and Bethesda for our wedding ceremony and reception. It was perfect.

From her planner Kelly- Kerri and Brandon chose Savannah to host their wedding for a few reasons. They both wanted to have an intimate wedding in a place that was special to them. Kerri being from Georgia and Brandon from Louisiana, they thought a beautiful Fall weekend in the Hostess city would be the perfect way to bring their families and closest friends together to celebrate their love.

From the custom invitation suite, to mahogany wooden boxes built by Brandon himself and branded with their monogram, to the candle lite dinner under 100 year old oak trees, their wedding was sure to capture their personalities and love for fine details.

Kerri and Brandon wanted their florals to be a true representation of the south so the boxes were full of soft blush peonies and garden roses, blush astilbe and pops of cotton and Spanish moss. Varying heights of floating candles in monet vases made their way down the estate tables and mercury glass candles offered extra lighting. A beautiful crystal chandelier draped over an oak tree limb was placed directly above Kerri and Brandon while they dined at farm tables.

Kerri and Brandon wanted their menu to be a true representation of Southern cuisine meets Louisiana Flare– they had items such as coastal Georgia shrimp and grits, Fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese, smoked duck and Andouille sausage gumbo and capped the evening off with hand passed Beignets . While guests dined under the oak trees on beautifully dressed tables with a favorite linen called Sea Island Sand (from Party Tables) and a bounty of candlelight, they listened to the fabulous Voltage Brothers band carry on with beautiful dinner music.

Their wedding ceremony was in the sweet, Southern Whitefield Chapel and was capped off with hand written love letters read to each other during their ceremony. Kerri had her brother stand by her side while Brandon had his sister stand by his side– they just wanted their brother and sister to stand by their side on their most special day.

Following dinner, guests headed to the beautifully lite sail cloth tent to begin the wedding celebration and to dance the night away with their guests while The Voltage Brothers rocked the house. Kerri and Brandon also had a custom bar with burlap inserts and custom lite letters to go on the bar. The guests enjoyed plush white couches with custom pillows for their enjoyment. Other guests enjoyed the pub style tables that were dressed with a fabulous blush sequin runner.
