Oh California. Sigh….

It has been a bit of a rough transition coming back from an incredible week photographing the Inspire Smart Success Experience conference in at the La Playa Carmel in Carmel by the Sea, California. It was wonderful seeing old friends and meeting new ones, spending time with our cousin and one of our past brides in San Fransisco, and it was also a blast spending some time on the coast where Scott and I spent our honeymoon.

One of the highlights of this trip was photographing Jenn and Brad’s engagement session out on the beach just a block from our hotel room. Scott and I were so excited to hear that they were going to be traveling out to Carmel and we had to organize our session while they were in town. We were all nervous at first as it had rained all day the previous day into the night and it had been fairly cold that morning. However, by the time our session started, the skies were clear and the sun was shining. For our session, we chose to head on down to the scenic drive and take in the beauty that surrounded us. It is hard not to fall in love with the large cypress trees, rocky cliffs, and the sound of the rolling waves (even if those rolling waves did come crashing into us during our shoot).
